A satellite comprises of several sub systems and payloads. The integration of this system is the sole responsibility of the interconnectivity solutions used. It is desirable to have minimum expenditure of weight and space for this interconnectivity. Jost’s has been actively involved with most of the space programs in India for supply of connectors customized for the project. The Miniaturized connectors and harness were supplied through Jost’s for Chandrayaan I project, which helped space and weight saving.
One of the other important project executed is a prestigious metro rail project in India, where in each coach was supplied with 28 connectors for various requirements of power, signal and data transmission. Reliability, fire resistance and ruggedness against vandalism are the key features of interconnectivity solution offered by Jost’s.
