The Teleflex VX presents the latest development of the Teleflex series. Like all Teleflex reflectometers, the Teleflex VX is specially designed to capture the fast processes during the fault location in power cables. It presents the consequent continuation of the Linux based Teleflex MX

The operation is reduced to the essential steps, and runs mostly automatically. The completely new hardware of the Teleflex VX with significantly improved parameters, as for example sampling frequency, pulse width and pulse amplitude results in ranges of up to 1000 km, but also in highest resolution in the close range.

Measuring hardware and display are separated, and communicate via Ethernet. This allows the easy integration into a fault location system and allows the operation in offshore application, for example, the remote operation in ROV’s.

Teleflex-VX
  • ARMslide technology with 15 traces in one ARM shot
  • ProRange for optimised display of distant details
  • Support of all existing prelocation technologies
  • Automatic adjustment and display of cable end and fault
  • Compatible with all fault location systems

With the Teleflex SX the excellent properties of the successful Teleflex VX were transferred into a smaller, handy and portable design. The Teleflex SX is operated by the new touchscreen and the well proven control knob functionality. The interface is shown on a sharp and very bright 10.4” display.

The Teleflex SX is specially adapted to the fast events during fault location in power cables. The easyGO operation is reduced to the important and essential steps and operates almost automatically.

Based on the same hardware and software we successfully used for our cable fault location systems EZ Thump and Smart Thump, the new Teleflex T 3060 reflectometer is designed to provide the user with a cross-system operational concept.

The Teleflex T 3060 can be used as a battery-operated stand-alone unit, or in combination with small, portable systems.

The device can be used in the following modes:

  • EasyGo Mode: automatic operation and measurement evaluation
  • Step by step Mode: supports the learning of the fault location process while using different systems
  • Expert Mode: complete range of commands and functions of a Teleflex reflectometer. The user can create a customised menu structure with up to 20 functions.

Handheld TDR Dual cursors Trace-hold feature 2 ns pulse width

The new CFL510G is designed to work on twisted pair copper and coax cable. The 2 ns pulse width virtually eliminates dead zones. Ranges are in six steps from 30 to 15,000 feet.

  • 0-25,000 ft continuous
  • Automatic or manual range selection
  • Optional sectionalizing

Using a radar to pre-locate faults will save time and reduce cable damage. The T3090 is designed to be the most user-friendly radar on the market! Advanced features include One Button Operation, Automatic Gain and a Large Color Screen. The T3090 will automatically ‘read’ the cable and display the fault distance with a single thump. The interactive ‘Step-By-Step Easy Mode’ will help train (or re-train) the occasional user while he is on the job! The optional ‘Sectionalize Mode’ will quickly sectionalize faults in loops or radial systems.

T3090
  • 3-phase TDR
  • Battery and mains operation
  • Range >55km (TDR)
  • Auto-ranging “Find end of Cable”
  • Auto-fault find “Cursor to Fault”
  • Single jog-dial operation via user friendly menus
  • Large 10.4” full XGA colour display
  • Rugged, robust feld proven case

The MTDR300 is a 3-phase Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) designed to provide quick, effective, accurate and safe prelocation of cable faults in electrical networks

Operation of the instrument is via a single jog dial and intuitive menu system. The large colour display further enhances operator comfort and aids rapid and accurate fault prelocation.

The MTDR300 can be powered from its internal rechargeable battery or mains power. It’s housed in a rugged, robust, field proven case making it suitable for use in hostile or challenging environments

By combining the MTDR300 with an impulse generator (thumper) and arc reflection filter, several methods of high voltage fault prelocation are possible.

The CAS-1 stand-alone software package is supplied with all MTDR300’s. This package allows the download (and upload) of saved traces for future analysis. It is also an ideal training package, as it contains all features of the MTDR itself.

The Megger TDR900 is an advanced instrument capable of measuring cable lengths and finding distance to an open or a short using time domain reflectometry. It offers exceptional features and a range capability normally associated with far more expensive instruments. The measurement range spans from 5 m to 3 km with a minimum resolution of 50 cm.

The TDR900 can be used for any cable consisting of at least two insulated metallic elements, one of which may be the sheath or shield of the cable. The Meter has automatic internal matching networks to allow testing of 25Ω, 50Ω, 75Ω, 100Ω, 125Ω, or 150Ω cables. (These correspond to power, telephony, CATV, and LAN cables.)

The meter can be closely matched to the cable under test using the menu selection keys. The propagation velocity value can be similarly adjusted to match the cable under test; thus ensuring an accurate distance measurement.

The other user adjustable setting is changing the distance measurement units (feet or meters).
